Corrosive products are acids, bases and substances capable of attacking materials and tissue on contact, used in industrial processes, water treatment and technical cleaning.

The challenge lies in the nature of the product itself: it attacks the container holding it, and strong acids and bases react differently with metals and plastics. Compatibility between product and packaging is a technical decision for the shipper, and a leak affects neighbouring cargo and the transport equipment.
