Meat

Meat is a product of animal origin for consumption, exported and imported as chilled or frozen cuts for industry, distribution and retail.

It ships under two quite different regimes: chilled travels close to zero with a shelf life counted in weeks, and frozen withstands long journeys, being the more common option for larger volumes. Traceability follows the product throughout, and batch, slaughter date and origin must match the documentation presented.
