Diagnostic materials are kits and consumables used in laboratory exams and clinical testing, combining reagents, controls and supplies in one set.

They are rarely a single product: each box can combine items with different temperature and classification requirements, which makes preparing the shipment more laborious than the volume suggests. Shelf life is usually short, and incomplete information about a single component affects release of the whole consignment.
