Temperature-sensitive medicines
Temperature-sensitive medicines are pharmaceutical products that lose stability outside the range specified by the manufacturer, usually between 2°C and 8°C, although several presentations require a controlled range between 15°C and 25°C.
A few hours of exposure outside that range can compromise an entire batch, and the risk concentrates in the gaps between steps, when the cargo sits outside a controlled environment. The appropriate thermal solution and its autonomy must be defined and provided by the shipper, according to the product specification.
AVM Cargo reviews the cargo information, such as temperature range, maximum exposure time and thermal autonomy, coordinates the partners involved, follows the shipment and keeps the client informed throughout the process. Each operation is assessed individually according to the characteristics of the goods, origin, destination and shipping conditions, and our team advises on the information needed to make the quotation and the operation viable.
