Project cargo is cargo that does not fit the standard flow. It may be because of size, weight or shape, or because the shipment involves several pieces that must arrive together for assembly at destination to make sense. In those cases, shipping stops being a purchase of space and becomes a project with its own stages.
The work starts long before the port or the airport: surveying dimensions and lifting points, assessing suitable equipment, analysing access at the pickup site and at destination, and setting the loading sequence of the pieces.
